From the designer - 

I dreamt up Silke after working in the bridal industry for almost a decade - I saw a gap in the industry that really was an injustice to the female body and mind. For a really long time I watched brides come in nervous and scared to start trying on gowns because they were above a certain size or they grew up watching shows that highlighted a more daunting process to finding your gown.

Something I absolutely pride my self on is not only making you feel comfortable the moment you step foot in the door, but also creating a gown that feels like you and fits you, as you are - no matter if the tag on your clothes says size 4 or 30.

I want to revolutionise the bridal industry by embracing all bodies of all sizes and creating heirloom worthy pieces that are made for you. 

Above all, I want to create a warm and welcoming space that brides feel automatically at ease in - Leaving all the heaviness of bridal shopping behind them. 

 

Silke pieces are made in house at our Studio in St Peters, Sydney.

This way we can ensure the fit and every stitch is utter perfection and breathtaking.
